Project Summary

Strengthening interprofessional education for HIV (STRIPE) is implemented at Arba Minch College of Health Science in collaboration with AFREhealth and the University of California, San Francisco to strengthen collaborative and interprofessional education to attain quality HIV care. Arba Minch General Hospital, Jinka General Hospital, Birbir Health Center, Arba Minch Health Center, and Shelle Health Centers are partner facilities participating in the training and implementation process. 

Key Accomplishments

• 6 facilitators trained to lead 4 workshops
• 156 learners (62 pre-service, 94 postgraduate) trained to deliver high-quality team-based HIV care
• Held visit with Addis Ababa University and the University of Gondar
• Conducted two-day, case-based training for pre-service and postgraduate health professionals
