Mpumalanga College of Nursing

Project Summary

Mpumalanga College of Nursing received technical and programmatic support from UKZN to implement the STRIPE HIV program. In September, Mpumalanga College of Nursing representatives attended UKZN’s training of trainers to learn best practices. Mpumalanga College of Nursing also developed a COVID-19 response plan to implement guidelines, policies, and protocols, including for students and facilitators engaged in Hazard Risk Assessments and working with COVID-19 patients. 

Key Accomplishments

• 10 facilitators trained to lead 1 workshop
• 55 learners (pre-service) trained to deliver high-quality, team-based HIV care
• Built strong, team-based relationships between facilitators and learners to optimize HIV care
